In mediation Donna Becker will be hired jointly by the parties as a neutral facilitator. She will assist with the full disclosure of financial data and the definition of issues and possible outcomes. She will educate the parties about the law and support them in maintaining a balance of interests in negotiation. She will help design a settlement that meets the unique needs of the parties and prepare a marital settlement agreement to formalize the resolution reached. Where children are involved, a goal of mediation is to support positive co-parenting relationships.
